Next we visited Mom's cousin Hans, who lives in Maastricht. Maastricht is in the very southern part of the Netherlands, and it definitely had a different feel than Rotterdam. Much of Rotterdam has been rebuilt since the war, so much of it is much newer and it feels like a big city. Maastricht is small, older, and feels more casual.
